Madame Butterfly : a tragedy of Japan, [ca. 1900?].

Two undated, bound, typed playscripts for an unidentified (probably British) production. The first is a thirty-three-page typescript carbon, with dialogue cuts and changes in pencil and ink, and the role of Yamadori eliminated from the script. A stamp of the Sikes & Sikes Typewriting Offices, London, appears on the last page. The second typescript is a prompt copy of the play which incorporates the changes that appear in the first typescript, and includes manuscript diagrams and directions for the actors' stage movement in an unidentified hand. The list of dramatis personae following the title page is annotated in pencil with cast names including Miss [Evelyn?] Millard, Mr. C. Humphrey, and F. G. Richardson; three pages of manuscript notes on lighting for the production and a two-page manuscript list of properties in the same unidentified hand are laid in.
